With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph Alfred Emes (Edmonton, Alberta), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia and Ernest; his parents-in-law, Jim and Mary; his son Michael; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne and Jim.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Averill; his daughter Shelley (Tyson); his grandchildren, Cassidy, Kayla and Darien; and his siblings, Marge (Bob), Rose (Ted), Lorraine (Dennis), Mary Jane (Rick) and Ernie (Vicki). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
