He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Ciéra; his nephew Terry; his brother Andy; and his parents, Bernadette and Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Barnes; his daughters, Darlene (Scott), Susanne (Carlos), Heather (Adam) and Stephanie (Tom); his grandchildren, Samantha, Maria, Jeffery, Josh, Gillian and Tristan; his great grandchildren, Leslie and Edith; and his siblings, Ardy (Vivian), Mary (Louis), Aileen (Glen), Phil (Val) and Ann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (17511 112 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5X5X9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maureen Barnes and Joe Dolan Award Fund (a scholarship for young parents), through the Edmonton Community Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
