She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Peter Zapotichny and Margaret Zapotichny; and her brothers, Wayne Zapotichny and Terry Zenith.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Axani (Ralph), Allan Herchek (Rose Ann), Connie Freeman (Gary) and Terry Herchek (Marianna); her grandchildren, Doug (Jeana), Shauna (Shane), Brianna (Andrew), Lewis (Rachel), Kirby (Hanna), Stephen (Alexandra) and Michael; her great grandchildren, Katie, Charlotte, Gavin, Alexys (Colin), Dawson, Charlie, Molly, Jack, Erica, Ivan, Harper and Jordan; her siblings, Hazel Axani and Lorne Zapotichny (Joyce); and her sister-in-law Jeanette Zenith.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Park Memorial (9709-111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the St. Mary's Dormition Orthodox Church Cemetery (Shishkovtzy) (3 miles north of Highway 16).
