She was predeceased by: her husband Ernie Schmidt; her sister Bernice Weidman; her brother-in-law Palmer Snortheim; and her parents, Art Anderson and Julia Anderson.

She is survived by: her siblings, Judy Snortheim and Robert Anderson (Dorothy); her daughters, Cher Heyser (Rob) and Colleen Ruptash (Joe); and her grandchildren, Keri Pranszka (Adam), Dana Zadler (Geoff), Scott and Kyle Heyser. She is also survived by 6 great grandsons.
