It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Mabel Metcalf (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Karen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Karen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald (Lee); and her parents, Henry Marshall and Mildred Marshall. She is survived by: her daughter Gerri (Mike); her grandchildren, Annika and Ayden (Brooklyn); her great grandchild David; and her brother Peter Marshall (Sandra).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene (14320 94 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5E3W2).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the MS Society or the Cross Cancer Institute, in honor of Karen's courageous journey and in support of causes close to her heart.
