We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2021, Katalin Somodi (Edmonton, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Sandor; her parents, Boldizsar Varkonyi and Maria Kutrovac; her siblings, Boldizsar, Rozsi and Teresa; and her niece Gyongyi.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Batke (Boyd) and Agnes Sherman (Jim); her nephew Joe Csoka (Gwen); her sister Irene Nemeth; and her grandchildren, Barry, Brandy (Brian), Mallorie (Jeff), Ryan (Alana) and Alex (Katie). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 2:00 p. m..
