With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Loretta (Kay) Podgurny (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on November 17, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Edward Podgurny; her parents, John Halwa and Anne Halwa; and her siblings, Caroline Chimera, Stella Sereda, Frank Halwa, Henry Halwa, Adolph Halwa, Wanda Markstedt and Louise Clark.

She is survived by : her children, Rodrick (Ludmila), Bruce Mollison, Gail Jenkins and Marlene Podgurny; her sisters, Aldona Harrish and Adelaide Wood; her sister-in-law Marian Halwa; and her grandchildren, Mitchell, Madison and Jessica. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only.

If friends so desire, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Basilian Father's Summer Camp fund, where Kay cooked for nearly 30 years and took great pleasure in serving others through her faith and her food.
