We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2021, Larry John Akins (Edmonton, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Akins and Fern Akins; and his father-in-law Peter Dmytriw. He is survived by : his wife Patricia; his children, Tasha and Nathan; his siblings, Marlene Rubik (Alex) and George Akins; his mother-in-law Elsie Dmytriw; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Dmytriw (Sharon), Eugene Dmytriw and Marilyn Koch (Clayton). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Larry's honour may be made to an education trust fund that will be set up for Nathan, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
