Leeanne Bailey Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leeanne Marie Bailey, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Leeanne was born in Orillia, Ontario, and was the beloved daughter of Sharon and the late Herbert Bailey. She is survived by her best friend and partner, Ernie; her loving mother, Sharon; her brother, Joseph; her cousin Rebecca, who was more like a sister to her; her longtime friend, Tracey; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

In the 1990s, Leeanne and her mother moved to Edmonton, Alberta, to be closer to her Aunt Shirley. Leeanne had a kind and loving soul and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved listening to 1980s music and dancing around with her dogs before health challenges affected her mobility. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family, especially gathering around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and share stories.

Leeanne treasured time spent with her godchildren and had a deep love for animals throughout her life. She leaves behind her beloved cats, Midnight and Tigger, and her faithful dog, Baby Girl, who brought her great comfort and companionship. Leeanne's warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she has touched.

Though she is no longer with us, Leeanne's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4303 – 20 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
