He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Schellert and Adolph Schellert (Edmonton); and his siblings, Bernard Schellert, Walda Scheibner and Paul Schellert.

He is survived by: his wife Lilly Roesler; his children, Karen Wilson (Daryl), Katherine Fitz (Mark), Phyllis Fraser (Jeff) and Jeff Schellert (Sabrina); and his sister Betty Weresch. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family.
