He is survived by: his children, Andrew Brown (Diane), Maureen Pearson (Ken) and Stephen Brown; his grandchildren, Alexander, Tannis, Heather, Francine and Janelle; and his great grandchildren, Clara, Isla, Andrew, Matthew and Benjamin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donald's honour can be made to the Edmonton Humane Society or to the Alberta S.P.C.A.
