“I was randomly looking up to some of my mentors during my studies at the University of Alberta (1993-99) when I came upon the news of Dr. Amour’s passing. I had the intention to thank her for her time and her sage advice that she gave me many years ago, when I had begun my professional life, navigating my way through the quagmire of office politics and injustice as a woman in science. She said “To persevere in science as a woman is enough to make a change.” So I did. Thank you Dr Amour.”
