It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Jean Mathieson-Bate in Edmonton, Alberta, born in Oyen, Alberta, who passed away on April 5, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Susan Mathieson Mayer of Chicago, David Scott Mathieson (Susan Louise Mathieson) of Edmonton and Darlee Ann Mathieson of Edmonton; her grandchildren, Lauren Mathieson Purcell (Daniel Purcell) of Calgary, Arden Mathieson of Vancouver and Victoria Mathieson of Edmonton; her parents, Hilda and McPhail; and her husband T. Edward "Eddie" Bate. She was also cherished by numerous stepchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
