Margaret Leona Ketler Obituary

We announce the death of Margaret Leona Ketler (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 99. Margaret will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob "Jake"; her son Walter; her parents, Johann Peters and Margaretha Peters; and her siblings, Bill, Neil, John, Anne Friesen, Susan Friesen, Ben, Jacob and Frank.

She is survived by: her daughters, Verna Duncan (Bob), Luella Downer (Sid) and Sylvia Chmiliar (Dwight); her grandchildren, Darren Duncan, Allison Gratz (Mike), Laurie Duncan, Peter Duncan (Christina), Cheryl Cable (Dave Bencsik), Shelley Cronin (Dan), Joe Blackerman (Deedee), Nick Blackerman and Tony Trudel; her great grandchildren, Theo, Zoe, Felicity Gratz, Thomas, Sophia Duncan, Chloe Bencsik, Hannah, Hailey Cronin, Chiara, Siera, Taliah Blackerman, Savannah Blackerman, Artemis and Rocket Trudel; her great great grandchildren, Stanley and Wesley Blackerman; and her siblings, Mary Carter, Nettie Ketler, Helen McLean, Betty Hredil and George Peters (Leona). She is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; four sisters.
