He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Adriana Markel (Brad) and Robert Opara (Joanna); his grandchildren, Matthew Markel, Alexandra Opara and Maximilian Opara; and his sisters, Barbara, Helena and Elzbieta.
