We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 81, Mary Amelia Wood (Edmonton, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary Amelia leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Nelson and Doreen Nelson (Alexander). She is survived by: her husband Dean Wood; her sons, Robert (Penny) and Andrew (Alex); her brother Ed; and her sibling's children, Kristina and Edgar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Youth Orchestra of Northern Alberta and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
