Mary Rakievich Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on March 1, 2026, Mary Rakievich of Edmonton, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander; her parents, John Nikolyuk and Anatasia Nikolyuk; and her sisters, Anne and Helen.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Marcinew (Richard) of Calgary, John of Sherwood Park, Linda Shalagan (Randy) of Nanaimo, BC, Jim (Linda) of Gunn and William of Wildwood; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jodi), Elaine (Mark), Rachel, Nicole (Jason), Alissa (Andre), Sarah (Gordon), Curtis (Kristine) and Ashlee (Paul); and her brothers, Bill (Mary Anne) and Walter Nikolyuk. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
