He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Sokoluk and Mary Sokoluk; and his sister Ellen Bullock. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Kim Smith (Dwayne), Sherry Fairbairn (Bill), Craig Sokoluk (Glenda) and Tom Sokoluk (Sherry); his grandchildren, Cody (Sara), Curtis (Dayna), Shayna (Lee), TJ (Becca), Brett (Amanda), Candace and Andrea; his great grandchildren, Anika, Willem, Kylie and Jase; and his sisters, Josie Elkow (Don) and Jenny Kolada (Jack).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to Edmonton Fire Fighter's Memorial or Maple Leaf Athletic Club (MLAC).
