He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Trini (Danette), Ruth (Baby Girl) and Trevor (Pam); his friends, Bruce Calf Robe and Donald Yellow Fly; his wife Joanne Yellowhorse; his stepchildren, Athena, Dedric (Tracy) and Lindsey (Dion); his grandchildren, Dakota, Dillon, Christian, Annette (Cedric), Jerry (Maggie), Nelson (Nikki), Tunksi, Tyline, Lexie, Maddison, Kylee, Ephraim, Kaitlynn and Dominque; his great grandchildren, Novah, Alice, Melanie and Alina; his adoptive mother Louise English of Brocket, Alberta.; his sons, Jason Calf Robe and Kevin Stevens; his siblings, Frank, Stanford (Karen), Alvin, Stanley, Dean, Moyes Paul, Louis Doctor and Peter Trottier Sr.; his parents, Pius and Margaret (Water Chief); his grandparents, Maxim, Mary Jane, Dick, Margaret Bad Boy, Iimaatskiksinaam and Black; his siblings, Emma (Harold), Henry (Priscilla), Donny, Rose, Joyce and Albertine; and his aunts, Moms, Julia Wright (Russell) and Emily (Clarence Red Crow). He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
