She was predeceased by: her grandson Michael Smith (Tracy); her son-in-law Paul Murynka; and her brother Nestor Chorney (Vera). She is survived by: her husband Walter Yanitski; her children, Linda Smith (Paul), Dwayne Yanitski (Donna), Rosanne Murynka and Norman Yanitski (Betty); her grandchildren, Randy Smith (Tanis), Stephen Yanitski (Melissa), Kelly Yanitski, Tania Murynka De (Guilherme), Daniella Murynka (Joe), Anna Murynka (Davejot), Melissa Yanitski (Stuart) and Natasha Yanitski; her great grandchildren, Jenna, Nolan, Bohdi, Colby, Brooklyn, Lucca, Leonardo, Rose, Charlotte, Scarlett and Henry; her sisters, Rose Oneschuk and Nadia Kushniruk; and her siblings-in-law, Janet Longpre (Emile) and Nick Yanitski. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
