We are sad to announce that on May 26, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Nestor Chumer (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Smoky Lake, Alberta. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Lena; his sisters, Olga (Michael), Venia, Emily (Alexander) and Vera (Peter); and his brother-in-law George.
He is survived by: his wife Alice (Lesia); his children, Sandra (John) and David; and his sister-in-law Diane. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A prayer was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (10951 107 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H2Z5). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, the Alberta Cancer Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
