He was predeceased by : his wife Mariea; and his siblings, Peggy, Irene, Kathleen, John and Don.

He is survived by : his daughters, Trish McGuinness (Sean), Marilyn Connell and Michelle Opatril (Todd); his nephew Brad Brown; his grandchildren, Devin, Daragh, Megan, Alyson and Tenley; and his siblings, Joan McConnell (Doug), Helen Vik (Les) and Jim Connell.
