He was predeceased by: his parents, Engel Anna and Alida Anna; and his former wife Anneke Van Heel. He is survived by: his siblings, Marrieke (Jan) and Frans (Hendrien); his sons, Roeland (Janet) and Johan (Emily); his grandchildren, Anneke, Ewan and Ella; and his significant other Ileana Maria Moreno.
