He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Nicholas (Crystal) and Samantha; his grandchildren, Mercedez and Lincoln; the mother of his children Beth; his mother Jean Mattice; his siblings, Carolyn Messenger (Garry), Barbara Palmer (Dennis), Patrick Pawliw, Robert Spreen and Darcy Spreen (Erin); his uncle Robert Mattice; and his aunt Jenny Pawliw. He was also cherished by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
