He was predeceased by: his parent Jan Hoekstra. He is survived by: his wife Stella; and his children, Gary (Mona), Eldon (Heather), Brian (Heather), Bradley (Tara), Jacqueline (Kevin) and Kathleen. He is also survived by his children but also his adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
