He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwendolyn and Robert; his brothers, Ian, Ron and Jack; his sister-in-law Barb; and his nephew Wade.

He is survived by: his wife Bev; his children, Tracy Lehman (Terry), Nicole McCarthy (Fred), Heather, Paul, Cliff Richard (Nicole) and Cory Jones (Nat); his siblings, Stan (Marj), Neil (Bonnie) and Deana; and his close friends, Rilla, John and Vince. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's name may be made to the Sherwood Care Centre.
