He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Brian Tait; and his parents, Rosa Woolger and Bonnar Woolger. He is survived by: his wife Veronica; his children, Nicole Bilodeau (Kyle) and Steve (Sara); his grandchildren, Claire, Lily and Wesley; his siblings, Gary (Vicki), Glenn (Debbie), Craig (Karen) and Karen Matthews (Gord); his mother-in-law Veronica Tait; and his brother-in-law Brian Tait (Maria). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and friends.
In 2020 during Covid, Rick changed careers and instead of carpentry he began working for the City of Edmonton doing seasonal work cutting grass in the summer and clearing snow in the winter.
