He was predeceased by: his son Colt Basaraba; his parents, Metro Basaraba and Ann Basaraba; and his brothers, Julius and Buddy Basaraba.
He is survived by: his wife Rosanne; his daughters, Kristie (Mike) and Pamela (Mark); his grandchildren, Kameron, Austin, Logan and Katelyn; his great grandchild Diesel; and his sisters, Lil Lazaruk, Julie Keller, Vivian Basaraba, Lucille "Honey" Boyda, Leona "Bunny" Uniat (Victor), Brenda Seipert (Gary) and Debby Kellert (Norm). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A prayer was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Park Memorial Chapel (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church (10945 107 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H2Z5).
