He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Bradley Thompson and Mary Winnifred Thompson (McGill); his siblings, George, Howard, Walter, Dora, Jean and Betty; his wife Judy Byers; his close friend CanWest; his former spouse Shirley Stumpf; his children, Teresa (Abdi Samatar), Stephen (Tamela) and Morgan (Juliana); his grandchildren, Grace Krause, Rudi Newkirk (Dylan), Morgan Lani, Brie Richmond (James), Jan Williamson (Greg) and Kevin Dandridge (Krista); and his stepdaughters, Marla, Laura, Cheryl and Brenda. He was also cherished by his sister and brother-in-law and several business partners.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Bob's name be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society or the charity of your choice.
