He is survived by: his wife Pauline Tait; his daughters, Sherrell and Britney Knapton; his sons-in-law, Jackson Mtengeni and Marvin Collentine; his grandchildren, Lexus Garrett, Ciaran Collentine, Mylah Mtengeni and Zendeya Mtengeni; and his sisters, Cathy Vledder, Ellie Madigin and Bonnie Halladay.

Memorial donations can be made to the Mazankowski Heart Institute in the name of Robert Tait.
