He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sewell and Ruth Sewell; and his siblings, Ray, Nancy, Bobby, Jenny, Kenneth and Marion.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donalda DeMone, Reta Jackson and Brian Sewell (Luz); his daughters, Terri Lynn MacLean (Mike) and Tammy Tompkins (Charles); his grandchildren, Samantha Jordan (Kyle), Kaelin McGillivray (Owen), Zachary Bresnahan (Grace), Chase Tompkins, Jacob Osmon and Christian Tompkins; and his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Aria, Atlas, Andre, Adelynn and Atticus.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ron's honour to one of his charities of choice — the MS Society of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, or The Salvation Army — or to the Royal Canadian Legion Foundation, reflecting his years of active membership with Branch 27.
