Ruth Ponich Obituary
In loving memory of Ruth Ponich (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, who departed this world on August 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kamilla Gronnegaard (Krogh) and Knud Bonde Gronnegaard; her sister Tove Della Costa (Walter Ponich); and her granddaughter Katherine Loewen. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberley Loewen (Philip), Tracy Ponich (Iain Smale) and Leslie Ponich (Ken Savage); her grandsons, Jonathan Loewen (Lianne McLean) and Nicholas Loewen; her great grandchildren, Oscar Loewen and Theodore Loewen; and her brother Niels Bonde (Ellen).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Funeral Home (10530 116 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H3L7).
