With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Rose Duchnych of Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on April 8, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, David Uganecz and Maria Uganecz; and her brother-in-law Bob Lamarre. She is survived by : her husband Joseph Gloux; her children, Tracy Fredrickson (Adam Court), Trevor Duchnych (Sarah), Kevin Duchnych, Dan Dover (Jeanette), Bob Gloux (Patricia Iverach), Glenn Gloux (Monique), Sandy Gloux and Wendy O'Brien (Allan); her grandchildren, Alicia, Ethan, Makena and Lucas; her siblings, Eugene Uganecz (Marie), Miles Uganecz (Shauna Hannin), Gordon Uganecz (Lorelei), Donna Lamarre and Darlene Uganecz; her brother-in-law Johnny O'Hara; and her cousin Bob Shukaliak (Marlene).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mission View Funeral Chapel (133 Sentinel Dr, Lac la Biche, AB T0A2C0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Sharon may be sent to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Suite #144 - Center 104, Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8.
