We bid farewell to Sofia Raposo Amaral of Edmonton, Alberta, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Sofia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel and Ana; her husband Jose; and her sisters, Maria, Virginia and Irena.

She is survived by: her children, Jose (Diana), Maria, Paul (Nancy) and Ana (Doug); her grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Victoria, Matthew and Kevin; and her brother Jose Rocha. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel (10530 116 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H3L7). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at the St. Michael's Cemetery (13819 82 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5E2V6).
