With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sofia Skrypnyk (Edmonton, Alberta), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sofia left this world on April 16, 2026 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Yarmoluk and Eugenia Yarmoluk; her husband Yarko; and her son Andrey. She is survived by: her brother George Yarmoluk (Helga); her children, Xenia Bubel (John) and Ostap Skrypnyk (Marta); her grandchildren, Adrian Bubel (Solomiya), Hritz Bubel (Shandra), Evanka Skrypnyk and Olenka Skrypnyk; her nieces, Helen and Anna Peterson; and her great grandchildren, Amy, Max and Deanna. She is also survived by cousins, family, and close friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (10951 107 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H2Z5).
