We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2025, Susan Harlan (Edmonton, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Susan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Susan farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Park Memorial Reception Centre (11015 101 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2).

In her memory, in lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alberta SPCA.

“In loving memory of Susan Harlan, Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. It is so hard to accept that she is gone. I tried to see her in the hospital but was not able to accomplish that as she was only allowed a few people to see her. Maybe it is best that I remember her the way she was the last time I saw her as we chatted and laughed at my shop. She touched my heart and I will always miss her sweet nature. Carol Simon”

“My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Sue. Our friendship was blossoming as we found so many similarites between us. I will miss hearing her sweet laugh and her visits to my shop (Tattered Rose) where we talked for hours. Thank you to Penny for bringing us together. “I knew Sue as my customer at Tattered Rose. It became apparent that we shared so many similarities...our love of animals, clothing, our introverted nature/humour and many other things. We shared several meals at Olive Garden and our friendship was blossoming. She was no longer just a customer but so much more. She loved her family, friends and cats. I have shed tears for her as she touched my heart. She was a loyal person and I will miss her forever. My condolences to all. Sincerely, Carol Simon”
