She was predeceased by: her parents, Lachmi Narayan and Parvati; and her daughters-in-law, Arti Prasad and Nalini Prasad. She is survived by: her sister Sashi Prabha Sharma; her sons, Shailendra and Jitendra Prasad; and her grandchildren, Shawn, Natasha, Ashleen, Shaileen and Saieesha Prasad.
