It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Theresa Frances Witiw (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Theresa may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Theresa touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Frey and Rose Frey; and her sister Rosemary. She is survived by: her brothers, Adolph and Jack; her husband Orest Witiw; and her children, James (Lorraine), Pat (Krysta), Gary (Gina) and April (Cory). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and their partners.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (13131 86 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5E3B5). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
