Theresa Whitson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2025, at the age of 97, Theresa Whitson of Edmonton, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schermann and Anna Schermann; her husband Douglas Whitson (Tim); her sister Martha; her son-in-law Wayne Henkelman (Dorothy); her niece Maureen Barrett; her siblings-in-law, Virginia Schermann, Karen Sherman, Anthony Barrett and James Barrett; her uncle Thomas Schnabl; her aunt Christine Lukabauer; and her cousins, Maria, Theresia, Christine and Anna.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy (John), Stanley, Helen, Audrey and Ivan (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Lindsey, Melissa (Carson), Jonah, Alana (Reid) and Sawyer; her siblings, Alfred, Raymond, Ernest (Noreen), Mary and Antoinette (James); and her cousin Brigitte Sedtke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (10020 100 Ave, Westlock, AB T7P1T5).
