It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas McDonald, who passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 60.

Thomas was born on December 14, 1964, in Goderich, Ontario. From a young age he developed a strong work ethic and a generous spirit that would define him for the rest of his life. He built a proud career as a boilermaker, earning the respect of his colleagues for his skill, reliability, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Away from work, Thomas loved the outdoors. Camping was one of his greatest joys — whether it was sitting by a fire under the stars, exploring new trails, or teaching his family how to set up a tent, the peace of nature was where he felt most at home. He also had a lifelong passion for music, especially the sounds of Pink Floyd, which often played as the soundtrack to his life. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, quick wit, and the countless ways he quietly helped others.

Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his sons Christopher (Erica) and David (Lindsey); his cherished grandchildren Khalesi, Daenerys, Savannah, and Kaia; his sister Holly and brother Jack; along with numerous extended family members and friends. His legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the lives he touched.

The family will announce a date at a later time for friends and loved ones to gather and share memories of Thomas.

Thomas will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
