He was predeceased by: his father Franjo Kovačić (Frank); and his grandmothers, Sofija Kovačić and Mara Kovačić. He is survived by: his sisters, Suzanne Anderson (Darcy), Simona Shropshire (Tyler) and Diana Mosicki (Josh); his siblings' children, Jacob, Ella, Jordan, Alistair, Hannah and Paulina; his uncle Mladen Kovačić (Jana); and his cousins, Vladimir Kovačić (Tammy) and Dubrovko Kovačić (Ashley).
A prayer was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home (10011 114 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5K1R5). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (7508 29 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6K3Y8). A reception was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Connelly-McKinley Downtown Funeral Home (4820 Meridian St NW, Edmonton, AB T6P1R3).
