She was predeceased by: her father Terry Yushchyshyn. She is survived by: her husband John Epp; her mother Carol Yushchyshyn; her sister Michelle Boyd (Steve); her sibling's children, Brendan, Lexi and Julia Boyd; her stepchildren, Chrissie Epp (Rob) and Greg Epp; her close friends, Lana, Fay and Ellen; and her much loveds, Australian Terrier and Diesel. She is also survived by extended family members, numerous friends.
Val was cremated and anyone who wishes may make a memorial donation in her name to the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta, University of Alberta, 2-132 Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Research Innovation, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1C9.
