Verna Leone Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Leone Young (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Beaverlodge, Alberta, who passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Jones and Margaret Jones; her siblings, Alicia, Irene, Rita, Laura, Joyce, Ruth, Thomas and William; and her sisters-in-law, Mary-Ann and Caroline.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne, Peter and Judie; her grandchildren, Sarah (Barrie), Ashley (Mike), Megan, Robyn (Grayson), Tyler and Jessica (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Rori, Karson and Conner; and her brothers, Gilbert (Gloria) and Lyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Verna's memory may be directed to the ALS Society of Alberta.
