As Verna departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Verna may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Verna leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: Murray. She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Hanley (Bill) and Sheila Quist; Laddie. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (5104 Ellerslie Rd SW, Edmonton, AB T6X1A4).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Verna's honour to Covenant Foundation/St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital/Palliative Hospice.
