He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Eliza; and his siblings, Delia, Rosie, Bertha, Sam and George.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Lisa McDonald (Kevin), Kerri Kistler, Brenda Hartzler, Tanya MacAskil (John), John D. McDonald and William McDonald. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
