He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Marie Kruse and Henry Herman Kruse; and his siblings, Hazel Hedrick, Eleanor Fontaine and Vernon Kruse (Donna Faye Kruse).

He is survived by: his wife Kay; his sons, Ronald Kruse (Pauline) and Larry Kruse; and his stepchildren, Carrie Knull, Les Knull (Rhonda) and Todd Knull (Myrna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
