It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Waltraut Marie Wilhalmine Symanczyk (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Vulcan, Alberta, who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her daughters, Erica (David) and Valerie; her son-in-law Robert Cooper; her brother Walter Gerdts (Rosemary); and her parents, Walter Gerdts and Elsie Gerdts.

She is survived by : her husband Otto Symanczyk; her sons, Alan (Sylvia) and Walter (Kimberley); her grandchildren, Steven (Megan), Lindsay (Steven), Bryan (Nicole), Derek (Hayley), Michael (Reese), Victoria, Sophie and Erik; and her great grandchildren, Ashton, Ethan, Jackson and Brynnleigh.
