She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Fredrickson and Mary Fredrickson; her husband Gilbert Oscar Thompson; and her siblings, Alroy and Rodney Fredrickson.

She is survived by: her children, Derek Thompson, Debra Burgess (Kelly), Kim Derr (Calvin) and Shelly; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Burgess (Tiffany), Nicole Staves (Brett Meyer), Brandon Schwitz (Kaeli MacLennan), Lauren Schwitz (Jacob Theriault), Trent Thompson, Sasha Snaddon (Brody Rokosh) and Ashley Snaddon (Dwight Strong); and her great grandchildren, Caleb Staves, Haden Staves, Ryker Meyer, Cora Burgess, Sophie Burgess, Rowan Theriault and Zayna Strong.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026.

In lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the Edson Community Foundation.
