It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean-Rock Picard of Falher, Alberta, born in Saint-Rémi-de-Tingwick, Québec, who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Levasseur and Bertrand Picard; and his brother Michel Picard. He is survived by: his wife Esther Picard (Emond); his children, Janie (Steven Simard), Karine (Chris Pringle) and Stéphane; his grandchildren, Eric, Mathieu, Waylon, Alynna, Alex and Ian; and his siblings, France, Sylvie, Danielle (Jocelyn Ouellet), Sylvain (Louise Dubord) and Denis (Martine Brault).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in JR's memory to a local homeless shelter.
