He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Edward Toews and Doreen Toews (Stacey Day Chief); his children, Heidi (Howard), Jessie, Josh (Amanda), Carolina (Russ) and Emerald; his siblings, Cathy Rarick (Brian), Brenda Rathwell (Jim), Margaret, Susan (Lynn), Vicki, Trudy (Mark), Tyler (Candace) and Ryan (Nicole); his godson Evans Day Chief; his brother Gary; his daughter Elizabeth; his grandson Jackson Morley Robert; his adoptive daughter Jolene Shouting; his mother-in-law Julianna Day Chief; and his brother-in-law Randolph Gros Ventre Boy. He was also cherished by 11 nephews, 12 nieces and 10 great nephews/nieces.
